We've been there before....
let's not go there again.
Robert, if you expect me to lie down and smile while you try to take this board
the way of Howl, Behold, and Behold 2 - I'm sorry, you are sadly mistaken. What
you are succeeding in accomplishing is making a spectacle of yourself. There are
some here who are amused by your current show. Others have expressed their
outrage at your mud-slinging and belittling. And while surrounded by the current
chaos - focus on the positive things that this group of individuals can achieve
is lost.
We invite you to play the games elsewhere - and come here to discuss creative
ideas. We encourage you to provide us with information, links, etc. - that takes
topics discussed on this board from here to the farthest reaches of the galaxy.
Not everybody who posts or reads on this board is a Ufologist, or somebody who
has found their way here by way of Ufology, or one who has seen a UFO. We're
here to discuss ideas, explore possibilities, perhaps to accomplish great deeds
in our lives.
We are here to discuss the possibilities to see a "MoonCam" start
beaming pictures from a lunar orbit back to Earth, exploring the possibilities
to become energy independent from the utility companies, discovering patents
that were "buried" for one reason or another - and that deserve more
attention. We may talk about a movie we saw last evening, a trip to D.C. to
attend a funeral, our children, or other things that touch our lives on a
personal basis. One thing is common in any and all of this - we are trying to
discuss these issues in a positive fashion.
You see Robert, it isn't about you, or the Bell-Oates feud anymore. That's old,
very ugly news. Again I challenge you, invite you - demand even - that you bring
something positive here. This is bigger than you Stephens. Are you up to this
task or are you going to continue to dwell in the swill?

I see no evidence of "Ufology" here, just a group of people who are
working towards defining a project that (a) could easily help increase interest
in the space program and NASA and (b) help find suitable locations on the moon
for future landings by providing detailed geological and topographical
information. Nothing "strange," nothing worthy of his definition of
"Ufology."
Then he shows up to try and drag it all back down to the "old days."
Trying to clean up "Ufology?"
Trying to defend the nature and character of "NASA?"

Montana UFO Sighting Update -The "Gray," It's Still There!
By Robert A.M. Stephens 11-11-98
ST IGNATIUS, MONTANA --The ongoing UFO sightings have continued into the
11-10-1998 time frame. Cloud cover broke for this night and the UFO, alone, was
there as it had been only lower in altitude and slightly further south toward
the town of St. Ignatius, Montana, itself roughly 10 miles south of Ronan along
the southern edge of the sprawling Mission Valley.
Due to nearly 100% cloud cover with snow and storm over the last several nights
viewing has been null from 11-6-1998 to current. Observation was made by local
law enforcement as well as workers at the manufacturing facility mentioned in
previous posts and other civilians who happened to notice the craft and reported
same. Total on witnesses as of this writing has exceeded 600 area wide.
There has been no further reporting by outside news sources other than that
posted already. Lake county sheriff office personnel have continued to look into
the matter with no availing information over and above what visual observation
has provided. Local law enforcement in the towns of Ronan, St. Ignatius, and
Polson have done the same. They too have garnered no conclusive data on this
sighting.
Reporter has yet to successfully witness UFO firsthand but is making
arrangements to attempt this in forthcoming nights when conditions abide for
such. In so doing two Navy SEAL high resolution digital compasses will be set up
four miles apart along the north south route of highway 93, thus providing for
triangulation, distance from the center of highway 93 --- a logical azimuth
anchor point to the observed craft, size of craft, altitude, and if detected
movement can be attained, thus, inherent speed in relation to observed location.
The viewing time and conditions for this latest sighting was from 1:27AM to 3:34
AM when cloud cover obliterated the viewing window. During this time of clearing
the sky was cloudless, exceptionally clear, stars in abundance, temperature in
the 5 degree F range, no moon as it had set over the mountains to the west, no
wind at surface. However, at 20,000 feet ASL the west to east winds are a steady
120 MPH over the Rocky Mountain Front complex coming from WWS blowing toward the
EEN in a direct line. Witnesses reported the conditions were clear enough to
single out a defined shape behind the previously described lighting of the craft
but it was too vague to accurately describe. Several witnesses used hunting type
binoculars for observation but they have yet to be interviewed by this reporter.
Craft was 8 nautical miles distant from viewing locale at manufacturing facility
and at altitude of approximately 14,000 feet ASL, and 4 miles further south than
previous sightings since 10-16-1998.
*ERRATA Numerous emails to reporter have suggested this sighting is everything
from ours, balloons, holograms.
From experience over 19 years with NASA at various test sites around the country
and overseas as well as a Navy SEAL active until 1990 and Reserve Status since
that date to current, reporter can testify this sighting studied from interviews
and reports from law enforcement, witnesses, and the NORAD / Fence database
program, anomaly is nothing in our paucity for understanding. It is not of our
technology. It is not an apparition. It is a physical vehicle with mass of
unknown origin. It is an unknown and in Aerospace/military vernacular, listed as
a 'GRAY'.
The only remotely close related vehicle that could exhibit anything related to
this anomaly is the Aurora high propulsion VTOL capable aircraft. However, tests
and performance of this vehicle precludes the following:
1. It [ Aurora ] is and has been grounded for further structural tests at Area
51, Edwards Air Force Base, [Dryden], and at parent contractors test facilities
at Palmdale, CA, at Lockheed, McDonnell Douglas, and Northrop. Aurora has not
flown since 1-9-1998. Its only known public observation was during test flights
over Area 51 on the afternoon of June 21, 1992, and video taped by cameramen
from NBC News. Subsequent tape was shown and narrated on the NBC Nightly News
the following night with narration by Mr. Brokaw, the nightly news anchor.
2. Aurora cannot hover in air at that altitude, temperature differential,
present cross wind, nor can it evade F16F class aircraft.
3. Aurora is a small craft in size comparison to the F-117
4. Montana anomaly is guessed (by witness account) to be somewhere at 600 feet
on a side and triangular in shape. Aurora is of the shape of a June bug, 1/700th
this size.
5. Aurora could not be seen with unaided eye at this distance of observation as
reported under any conditions.
Thus, this UFO is not Aurora
THE FENCE
The 'Fence' protocol at NORAD is a remarkable program made up of many
technicians monitoring a series of interleaved grids coming from Geostationary
high orbit satellites. The office tracks all 9,653 man made objects in space
orbiting Earth. These include a pair of gloves from Gemini 6 and some dozen
washers dropped on a repair mission on STS-51A on a shuttle mission and every
other orbiting object of artificial origin along with the occasional meteorite
that may remain in Earth's space for some overly long seconds.. If something
untoward enters into the tracking field (the fence) it then begins a series of
tracking logarithms to track speed, location, altitude, departure angle, mass,
heat, and inherent velocity. From there it runs a test for itself to confirm
that whatever it is is not something we have in space. From there a management
program kicks in called, 'Intruder Assessment'. If a series of democratic
protocols weigh out then the next step is to start a series of visual
confirmations with our own air assets. Stealth 117A and or SR-71 are dispatched
to attempt intercept. From there the 'Fence' protocols go through a series of
'what is' formats until the intruding element is either confirmed to be
something from us or an unknown. Unknowns are called a 'Gray'.
This is because the unknown is there in space but is not ours. It is not a
'target white' (friend) nor a 'target black' (foe). Thus far the Montana UFO is
a 'Gray' as listed. It is also the 117,443 unknown to be catalogued at the
'Fence' office at NORAD or SAC since 1966, globally. It is suspected they
(NORAD) have moved any one of three Keyhole deep-look satellites into position
in high Earth Orbit to watch this bogey when it appears since conventional
ground based air assets have failed to acquire craft for confirmation due to
vehicle exhibiting phasing or some other type of eluding of recon aircraft.
UFOs are not referred to as such in the military/NASA parlance. They are either
a 't-white' (target white) if friend, 't-black' (target black) if a foe.
Unknowns are a 't-gray' or sometimes a 'tg' for an acronym if not of Earth
origin. The Montana UFO is not of Earth origin.

in the VERY near future. Now that he's had another taste, I doubt he can go long
without the attention he drew yesterday, so don't think he'll confine himself to

Have you figured out why he came here to announce that the reports of his death
were greatly exaggerated? We didn't have the fake obit notice or death
certificate here -- they were on other boards. Yet he spewed his venom here.

We took it upon ourselves to investigate what is involved in putting up an
orbiting machine and conversed the aspects of just that.
Contradictory to what he claims is our intention....he is an idiot for the

exclusively to the MoonCam project would be a good idea - we could still sling
around ideas here but keep the results there under password protection. There is
Scott's board, of course, but it's not yet protected.
As things evolve, we may generate a certain amount of proprietary material and
we would need a safe place to keep it that would be accessible to those
concerned but not to trolls and spoilers. Also we don't want to tip our hand
prematurely to the sugar daddies we intend to mug for bux.

Through the community that has been cultivated here, we've come up with some
ideas and we get to learn about each other's strengths and weaknesses here.
Being about more than one topic helps to bring others into it who may have
valuable ideas to add; if we have to put up with some trolling now and then its
worth it to me. Plus, sometimes those trollers turn out to be much more helpful
later on. Personally, I'd just as soon see us stay right where we started and
let it branch and develop.

Somebody's playing with you all....Yesterday I got a forwarded email about this
death certificate and obit....sure wasn't hard to find out it was a bunch of
hooey...I did a search at ufomind to relocate these boards to see what folks
were saying. A lot of familiar names still around (I mean familiar nicknames).
Looks like people are actually discussing interesting stuff at these
boards....above and beyond that boring, and debilitating, soap opera of some

So Robert, you're back.. What now old friend. What's the agenda. Dissent? Full
tilt back peddle? More name calling, telling everyone you love them, and then

RAMS: That whole exchange from "you're insects, we are love," if any
of these people had a functioning mind, is from episode 24, called
"Conspiracy" from "Star Trek: the Next Generation". Thus,
the 'attacks' are verbatim exchanges what was from that episode and what Ufology
did to me in response in the very beginning when I stated things like NASA is
not hiding planets, cities on Mars are inconclusive, etc, etc.
But, this culture is too lame to understand this since they are humorless dogs.
They attack our science, our institutuions, our acheivements, with filth like
what Bell and Hoagland propagate, when the real issues are in fact real and may
actually effects us all in the times ahead outside our normal evolvement.
Outside of Ufology this is taken out of acceptance and is not mentioned in the
realm of hyperbole present in Ufology, rather, is taken to task through learned
science, something Ufology is sorely lacking and my main issue against Ufology
and what it espouses, and that is my main issue with this culture.
Art Bell , behind the scenes, if anyone has noticed, has taken this fact to
heart to a large degree and is trying to soften the sensational and tone down
some of the 'scientific terrorism' (via quote Paul Dore) with clarity that what
is espoused is, "Entertainment". He is to be praised for this. Joe
Frimage and myself have had an effect in this; not to hurt Ufology or Art's
show, but to tone down the "screaming fire in the threater"---since
there very well might be things on our horizon that when they are divulged,
either we all need to confront them or else we would be so numbed by "Hoagisms",
as I call Hoagland's rubbish, that this would come right upon us and we would
shrug and be asleep since wwe we would be numbed down to the point of stupor.
This is to be considered.
Too, as Gatekeeper could tell you, and that Firmage has told Bell, eventually,
like any occupation or endeavor, if you attack it long enough out of hand as
Ufology has done to DoD, NASA and other institutions of endeavor, those that
work in same , and are immune from persecutions of censure, will come back at
the attackers throats with a vengence. I have done this. It is a matter of our
paychecks and what we do. Oprah had to face this in court in the cattle industry
when she made off hand remarks about it. Others will come forward and attack
back if it continues. This is normal.
I have taken great issue with the 'Hoagisms' of this culture and deemed it the
now coined moniker 'Strange' because of what it does and espouses without an
opposing voice of recourse. This must stop. There are millions of 'Stephens' out
there like me that look back into this culture and are sorely pissed at what it
espouses, wrongly, without ever the offered voice of recourse to what is claimed
against us. That is the reason I've had such fun at assailing this place. And
when I have done so soberly, I've been threatened to be sued (Gersten;
12-10-1998, over badmouthing Hoagland's statement on the moon, or Art Bell over
his continued attack on my profession and him turning it into a sex show
involving his misaligned son) and this only rails people like me to newer
heights of oral debauchery on this medium against this place. And it will get
worse in dissent until there is a voice offered otherwise of reason.
It is too be expected. If you shoot messengers, some are armed and will shoot
back. That is quite mundane for fact and it is so and it will get worse as
Ufology gets worse. It too can lessen if things get better. However, Ufology
attacks and acts like a bunch of assholes and cannot figure out why those on the
outside like myself attack back with fury. Stupid.

RAMS: NASA: Still working on the new motor drives for the new generation rover
for JPL, doing work for others, building three, 3/8ths scale musuem versions of
Shay logging locomotives (They are not toys. They are finescale exact working
prototypes of the real thing and retail for about $5000. each. There are
currently three people left in the U.S. doing this, modeling locomotives in
finescale in brass with a torch. I love early industrial railroading and have
been caught in its grasp for the last 20 years.). Been doing a refurb package
for Endeavor for USA since the parts in the aft section of Discovery were found
flawed and all flights have been postpoed because of it (hundreds are working on
these fixes across the country in different companys). Been cutting wood for
winter and diving in the Flathead River for the tribal folks below Kerr Dam.
Johnsons are fine and Riley has a bum leg. A meteror went over last night and it
was magnificent in its break up. All other things are well and sound. A sow
Grizzly bear has been hanging out in the back paddock eating the apples. She has
two fat cubs and hasn't been a bother but we never go out to cut wood without
the 12 gauge loaded with rifled slugs and magnum Number 4 Buckshot and my only
hand shooter I have; a .45 model 1911 Army Colt. Grizzlies are weridos.
Deer are thicker than usual this year too.
Wished the Mars orbiter hadn't fouled as that was a bad setback for JPL.

It occured to me I didn't answer the rest of your query properly.
Macs:
I still am loving the G3 400 but have back ordered the new G4 550 and the new
Apple 22" long Studio Display. I can't wait but those are not to be ready
now until first quarter of 2000. I am not in the market for the little iMac but
I have seen one in Missoula and they are quite the little box. I just love macs
anyway since I can have them be a Mac, or a PC, all in one machine without all
the added expense.

attorney in Great Falls and they were then presented to the court for
pre-default judgement against me, the Montana court laughed and tossed them as
ludicrous. This would then show that one, in fact, cannot, sue a whole planet
because they decide to be some sort of cyber NAZI censor based on words said.
That, oft times, one must clean up their own threater before they continue to
yell fire.
I believe Art has learned this and is trying sincerely to have his show, have
the strange guest like Hoagy and others on, but at the same time qualify what he
is doing. I believe he is doing a good job at this and should be praised for
this effort. Kudos to him as he succeeds to make inroads to everything Strange,
but at the same time have an entertaining show format.

open mind should be able to read that and have an understanding of the
situation. That doesn't mean they have to agree with your tactics, but when you
get right down to it, that's avoiding the issues that you've brought up
concerning UFOlogy, or at least how its presented and propagated to the masses.
Much of the fallout has been a desperate attempt to avoid this issue and some
haven't missed that.

I'm not sure what has set you off to be such an arrogant low grade asshole since
your pleasent phone calls to me early last spring but clean it up, get your shit
pulled together, or I'll ignore you no different than any other asshole like

I do not beleive you are in any postion you 'retort' anything since you do not
work in STS, anymore than I work in Being Aerospace.
With that said, to answer, if you shall recall, the launch of STS-96, which I
covered back in the end of May and had Firmage with me at KSC, divulged that not
only were there motor bucket problems, line feed problems, but that aft
connector plates in the OMS area were flawed or showed signs of premature
failure. USA did the fault tree and designed fixes. They then have farmed these
out to everyone. That is what I'm working on along with the remotor requirements
for replacement for the new generation rover for JPL.
(I am designing the usage of Fahlhaber Micromotors rather than the Japan made
Maxon motors now deployed but have a shorter operating life in the rigors of
operating the rover from as much as a mile from lander as intended)
I do not know what 'red flags' are in regards to STS. In STS there are 701 CRIT
one items (CRIT=Criticality One Items, a failure of any one will render loss of
mission, vehicle, and crew). The troubles for STS, all four birds, are CRIT 1
items and have then, as a result, scrubbed all flights until further noted or
that fixes are done.
